Mr. Grey has over eighteen years experience in Special Operations, Intelligence and the Security field. He is well versed in the areas of Force Protection, Antiterrorism, Surveillance, Close Quarter Battle, Small Unit Tactics and Personal Protection. His diversified background has allowed him to work in both instructional and operational positions.
Mr. Grey is currently working on a US Government security detail in a High Risk location. He has been on numerous Department Of State & Department Of Defense contracts since late 2004. As part of the Civilian Police Assistant Training Team he was a primary instructor for the Counter Terrorist Special Operations Force (CTSOF) Iraq Mentor/Instructor program. He was responsible for the Crises Response Training (CRT) of the Iraqi Emergency Response Unit (ERU), a national level, high-end, rapid response law enforcement tactical unit responsible for high-risk arrest and hostage rescue. ERU is the predominant force for national level incidents calling for DELTA/SWAT capability and is only used in extreme situations by local and national authorities. Mr. Grey instructed ERU members in advanced pistol, rifle, Close Quarters Combat and advanced driving techniques. Additionally he instructed members of the Iraqi Presidential Security detail and other Tier One Protective Service Units that are now responsible for the protection of Iraq’s Government Leaders.
Mr. Grey is the Director of Training and head instructor for the Special Operations Protection Course at Executive Security International (ESI). He has also provided Executive and Corporate Protection training to individuals and private companies to include security details for one of the world’s leading glass producers. He is also an adjunct instructor with several other training companies.
Prior to that Mr. Grey served over fifteen years in Special Forces in a variety of SOCOM(A) units. He held positions as Assistant Operations Sergeant, Assault Force member, Master-Breacher, Sniper, Combatives Instructor, Advanced Marksmanship and CQB instructor.
Mr. Grey was assigned to the Special Warfare Training Group's Anti-Terrorism Detachment (ATD), where he taught Individual Terrorism Awareness Courses and instructed the only Department of Defense Antiterrorism Instructor Qualification Course. As an ATD instructor, he trained Department of Defense, United Nations Observers, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies how to minimize vulnerability to terrorist identification, selection & attack. He taught reacting to terrorist assaults, to survive in hostage situations, Survival shooting, detecting surveillance, antiterrorism driving, Vulnerability/threat assessments and surveys.
Mr. Grey’s most current military assignment was as a reserve instructor for the Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat (SFAUC) Course. There he provides Advanced Marksmanship and Close Quarters Combat training to U.S. Special Forces and Foreign forces.
